Assistant Payroll Administrator (part-time 3/4 days per week) – Hoofddorp


Bluewater is a leading provider of innovative Single Point Mooring systems (SPM) and operator of Floating Production Storage and Offloading units (FPSO). Since its foundation in 1978, Bluewater has built a technological lead specialising in design, development, lease and operation of tanker-based production and storage systems, and has become a leading provider of innovative Single Point Mooring systems.

Bluewater currently owns and operates a number of Floating Production Storage and Offloading Systems (FPSOs): the Glas Dowr, the Aoka Mizu, the Bleo Holm, the Hæwene Brim and Munin.

The Finance & Administration department is responsible for realizing timely financial planning and controlling activities and delivering timely and accurate financial information, in compliance with applicable (tax) law and regulations in order to contribute to the realization of the company’s goals and strategy. This includes payroll administration, accounting & budgeting and reporting & control.


The Assistant Payroll Administrator is responsible for timely and accurate payroll processing and administration, payments and the preparation of the journal entries in the financial administration in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. All activities are performed in accordance with Bluewater’s Corporate Management System.
You will maintain accurate records of all payroll related information, pension and insurance documentation and keep all financial data and files strictly confidential. You will assist with the preparation and processing of the monthly payroll and manage and review the monthly calculation and payment of the salaries.

Besides ensuring that all salaries and secondary remuneration elements are in accordance with applicable legislation, you will keep your knowledge and procedures up-to-date on all relevant aspects and share this information within the department. You will report regularly to the Department Head on personal achievements and department matters.


Besides your enthusiasm, integer and accurate mentality with attention to detail, you will have:
– at least a vocational education in Administration and PDL diploma
– 3-5 years of experience in (international) payroll administration
– experience with ADP payroll software, preferably implementation knowledge
– knowledge of social security, tax and employment legislation; one or more other countries is a plus
– excellent Microsoft Excel skills
– ability to work with deadlines
– fluent in English, both written and verbal


A part-time challenging position within an international environment. A market conform gross yearly salary, including a 13th month, holiday allowance and a non-contributory pension plan and a collective medical insurance.
