HSE Engineer – Hoofddorp
OrganizationBluewater is a leading provider of innovative Single Point Mooring systems (SPM) and operator of Floating Production Storage and Offloading units (FPSO). Since its foundation in 1978, Bluewater has built a technological lead specialising in design, development, lease and operation of tanker-based production and storage systems, and has become a leading provider of innovative Single Point Mooring systems.
Bluewater currently owns and operates a number of Floating Production Storage and Offloading Systems (FPSOs): the Glas Dowr, the Aoka Mizu, the Bleo Holm, the Hæwene Brim and Munin.
The HSEQ & RC Department is responsible for ensuring that all business processes are recorded, understood, followed and improved. The Department identifies and interprets Flag State and Class requirements and ensures that risks to the company are identified and managed, all in order to contribute to the realization of the company’s goals and strategy.
FunctionThe HSE Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, coordinating and managing the HSE activities on FPSO and SPM tenders and projects. Based on a thorough knowledge and understanding on (inter)national Safety Codes and best practices you supply our operating assets with clear and practical advice. You will support our organization in developing and implementation of elements of Process Safety.
You will lead incident investigations and HSEQ audits when required abroad; on site, offshore or with our client.
Furthermore you will keep knowledge and procedures up-to-date on all relevant aspects and share this within the department. You will use and maintain corporate standards, develop and propose corporate and section improvements. In this position you will report regularly to the Section Head HSE on project/personal achievements and corporate/department matters. You will be working from our office in Hoofddorp.
RequirementsWe are looking for a forward thinking communicator with strong planning and organizational skills. You will offer pro-active assistance and initiate improvements. Furthermore you have:
• a Bachelor degree in a Technical discipline
• 3-5 years of experience in offshore and/or oil and gas industry environment
• knowledge of relevant HSE tools
• fluent in English, both written and verbal
• experience in auditing and understanding and knowledge of UK legislation
OfferWe offer a fulltime, challenging position within an international environment. A market conform gross yearly salary, including a 13th month, holiday allowance, a non-contributory pension plan and a collective medical insurance.
