(Junior) Planning Engineer – Hoofddorp

Organization

The Engineering Department employs over 90 highly skilled and talented designers and engineers and is responsible for providing innovative, cost effective engineering. To strengthen The Engineering Department, Bluewater is now looking for a (Junior) Planning Engineer.

Function

As a Planning Engineer for Engineering you are responsible for establishing of engineering project and tender schedules and for monitoring the timely completion and progress of the project. You act as bridge function between all engineering disciplines and ensure of accurate reporting of the progress on projects.

Within Bluewater you can expect to be involved in developing work break down structures, schedules and progress measurement taking into consideration project constraints and project execution. You will be monitoring the engineering progress, critical path and do forecasting supported by the actual progress gathered from all engineering disciplines and databases. You will be consolidating the progress information and ensuring consistency of the information, and challenging the disciplines for you to analyse, advise and escalate consequences of deficiencies, (potential) risks, changes and opportunities to the project.

Requirements

We are looking for a (Junior) Planning Engineer with a pro-active attitude and relationship building and interpersonal skills.

Furthermore:

– You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering.
– You are an enthusiastic starter or young professional (with up to 5 years of experience)
– You are experienced in, or interested to get proficient in use of Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project planning software. In addition having experience with spreadsheets, other databases and programming is considered a plus.
– You are able to travel and willing to perform activities abroad (onshore, construction sites).
– You have good communication skills and good understanding of the English language, verbally as well as in writing.
