Business Developer Floating Wind – Hoofddorp


Bluewater is a leading provider of innovative Single Point Mooring systems (SPM) and operator of Floating Production Storage and Offloading units (FPSO). Since its foundation in 1978, Bluewater has built a technological lead specialising in design, development, lease and operation of tanker-based production and storage systems, and has become a leading provider of innovative Single Point Mooring systems.

Bluewater currently owns and operates a number of Floating Production Storage and Offloading Systems (FPSOs): the Glas Dowr, the Aoka Mizu, the Bleo Holm, the Hæwene Brim and Munin.


The Business Development Department is responsible for promoting and marketing Bluewater’s products and services in accordance with company’s commercial goals. You will work closely together with other departments such as Cost Estimating, Tender and Technology Development.


For our floating wind developments, we are looking for a Business Developer with solid organizing and planning skills. Supporting the Business Development Manager Floating Wind, you will be responsible for creating new business opportunities and exploring the floating Wind Market. With an entrepreneurial mindset you are able to promote our new developed solutions in the market place.

Furthermore, you:

• Monitor, analyse and follow up on new market and commercial developments
• Identify relevant key market players, technology providers, potential partners, governmental and non-governmental organisations
• Provide input to and implement PR communication strategies and assists in developing marketing tools
• Build business relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, partners and potential Clients
• Prepare applications for national and international public funding programs
• Provide input to business plan
• Prepare applications for national and international public funding program
• Prepare responses to requests for information from project developers
• Source funding for product developments: subsidies, partners, clients, investors, fund
• Prepare applications for national and international public funding programs
• Identify potential clients, and for receiving technical and commercial feedback and support from these clients


You are motivated, enthusiastic, have a healthy amount of common sense and eager to learn and develop your skills within, but also outside, your comfort zone. You have a creative mind and have good analytical skills.

Furthermore, you have:

• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbally
• Affinity with the floating offshore renewable energy markets
• Preferably a Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Economics
• Over 2 years of experience in technical and commercial management in the offshore wind industry


• Fulltime/40 hours per week position within an exciting work atmosphere comprised of in-ternational colleagues and clients.
