Project Development Manager Floating Wind – Hoofddorp


Bluewater is a leading provider of innovative Single Point Mooring systems (SPM) and operator of Floating Production Storage and Offloading units (FPSO). Since its foundation in 1978, Bluewater has built a technological lead specialising in design, development, lease and operation of tanker-based production and storage systems, and has become a leading provider of innovative Single Point Mooring systems.

Bluewater currently owns and operates a number of Floating Production Storage and Offloading Systems (FPSOs): the Glas Dowr, the Aoka Mizu, the Bleo Holm, the Hæwene Brim and Munin.


The Business Development Department is responsible for promoting and marketing Bluewater’s products and services in accordance with company’s commercial goals. You will work closely together with other departments as Cost Estimating, Tender and Technology Development.


For our Floating Wind developments, we are looking for a Project Development Manager. You are responsible for the development of demonstration projects for Bluewater’s Floating Wind products.

Furthermore, you:

• Develop a floating wind demonstration project
• Lead the negotiation for the site lease and wind turbine and other relevant subcontracts & procured items in cooperation with the Legal Department and Contracts & Procurement Department
• Organize and chair project consortium meetings / engagements & manage interfaces
• Support in sourcing funding for the demonstration project from both investors & public funding programmes
• Develop and organize the project consortium of partners that executes the project work to deliver results within the available schedule and budget
• Acts as internal Client & Project Manager for floating wind demonstration projects up to handover of the EPC project to the Project Manager for project execution


An experienced Business Development Manager with strong leadership and influencing skills. You are able to convince and persuade your clients and stakeholders in a positive way.

Furthermore, you have:
• A Bachelor/Master degree in appropriate field of Engineering and/or Business Administration
• Over 6 years’ experience in project development and/or project management, preferably in offshore new energies industry
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken


• Fulltime/40 hours per week position within an international environment
• Besides a competitive salary, you will receive a 13th month, holiday allowance and travel allowance
