Bluewater is a leading provider of innovative Single Point Mooring systems (SPM) and operator of Floating Production Storage and Offloading units (FPSO). Since its foundation in 1978, Bluewater has built a technological lead specialising in design, development, lease and operation of tanker-based production and storage systems, and has become a leading provider of innovative Single Point Mooring systems.


The Engineering Department employs over 90 highly skilled and talented designers and engineers and is responsible for providing innovative, cost effective engineering. To strengthen The Engineering Department, Bluewater is now looking for a Senior Instrumentation Engineer.

Bluewater currently owns and operates a number of Floating Production Storage and Offloading Systems (FPSOs): the Glas Dowr, the Aoka Mizu, the Bleo Holm, the Hæwene Brim and Munin.


As an Instrumentation Engineer, you are responsible for delivering the engineering output of the instrumentation work scope of any type of job, in line with the project’s technical specification, budget and planning. Within our E&I team you report to the Lead Project Engineer on progress, setbacks and concerns on different projects. Furthermore, you signal technical risks and abnormalities within our projects.


We are looking for a Senior Instrumentation Engineer with a pro-active attitude great problem solving skills with an eye for detail.

– Bachelor/Master degree in Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent such as Control Engineering
– Currently living in NL or EU passport
– Over 8 years of relevant experience in instrumentation engineering, preferably with (offshore) FPSO projects
English good, verbally as well as in writing
– Computer literacy for discipline calculations, document processing, spreadsheets and database management
