Tender Manager – Hoofddorp


Bluewater is a leading provider of innovative Single Point Mooring systems (SPM) and operator of Floating Production Storage and Offloading units (FPSO). The Tender Department is responsible for delivery of competitive proposals in all areas of company’s business in line with client requirements in order to contribute to the realization of the company’s goals and strategy.


As Tender Manager you are responsible for the preparation of proposals for assigned tenders in compliance with the agreed proposal strategy. Together with the Business Development Manager, you prepare the proposal strategy, including listing of any required pre-bid/pre-award agreements. You prepare and execute the proposal action plan, defining proposal deliverables and the scheduling thereof. You will manage the execution of tender (pre-) FEED studies.

You will develop project execution related documentation for the proposal, together with Project Management and coordinate development of the cost estimate, executed by the Estimating section. You are overall responsible for the development of a consistent proposal package. You ensure quality of proposals through peer review, (concept) design review, estimate- and proposal review meetings. The Tender Manager verifies expenditures and hours spent of assigned tenders and the reporting thereof to the Department Head Tender.


We are looking for a Tender Manager with great writing and communication skills who is very client oriented. You can be persuasive when needed, have a high degree of flexibility and are able to handle stress in a good way. Furthermore you have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Process/Naval/Marine/Civil Engineering.
• Over 5-10 years of experience in the offshore industry in (supervisory) positions (engineering-, proposal-, project-, or commercial management).
• Experience with managing multidisciplinary teams in reaching joint results.
• English excellent, verbally as well as in writing.
• You are flexible and committed to turn opportunities into results
• You take ownership, are reliable in delivering results and think and act across boundaries of responsibilities


• Fulltime/40 hours per week position within an exciting work atmosphere comprised of international colleagues and clients.
