Section Head Maintenance & Integrity – Hoofddorp


For our Maintenance & Integrity Department in Hoofddorp, we are looking for a manager with proven experience in Maintenance & Integrity Management. The Section Maintenance & Integrity being part of the Department Operations Technical Management is responsible for the definition, development and implementation of the relevant Floating Production Division’s corporate technical operational strategies, standards, routines, programs and procedures in Hoofddorp, Aberdeen and offshore assets.


Bluewater is a leading provider of innovative Single Point Mooring systems (SPM) and operator of Floating Production Storage and Offloading units (FPSO). Since its foundation in 1978, Bluewater has built a technological lead specialising in design, development, lease and operation of tanker-based production and storage systems, and has become a leading provider of innovative Single Point Mooring systems.

Bluewater currently owns and operates a number of Floating Production Storage and Offloading Systems (FPSOs): the Glas Dowr, the Aoka Mizu, the Bleo Holm, the Hæwene Brim and Munin.


In this position, you will be responsible for the management and manpower planning in order to provide support in the area of maintenance and asset integrity engineering to the asset teams and FPSO project teams. You will:
– coach, develop and give constructive feedback to the team and will provide opportunities to improve their development needs
– support execution and improvement of the maintenance and integrity processes
– monitor and address the compliance, quality and effectiveness of the maintenance and integrity activities over the fleet and ensure continuous improvement regarding this effectiveness of FPSO maintenance
– Act as the focal point for technical integrity and provide specialist knowledge and experience.
– ensure that corporate maintenance and integrity management systems are available and reliable at all locations
– establish the yearly section objectives, be responsible for the section budget
– continually review performance, keep knowledge up to date, looks for opportunities to improve and shares this within the section

You will be working from our office in Hoofddorp. If necessary, you are willing to perform activities abroad (on- or off shore).


A skilled communicator and strong team manager with excellent planning and organisational skills. Furthermore:
– you have a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant technical discipline
– over 10 years of relevant experience, in a maintenance or integrity management related position on- or offshore
– experience in development and implementation of Maintenance management Systems
– offshore, FPSO or petrochemical plant experience is highly desirable
– you will think and act across boundaries of responsibilities
– fluent in English, both written and verbal
