Bluewater is a leading provider of innovative Single Point Mooring systems (SPM) and operator of Floating Production Storage and Offloading units (FPSO). Since its foundation in 1978, Bluewater has built a technological lead specialising in design, development, lease and operation of tanker-based production and storage systems, and has become a leading provider of innovative Single Point Mooring systems.

Bluewater currently owns and operates a number of Floating Production Storage and Offloading Systems (FPSOs): the Glas Dowr, the Aoka Mizu, the Bleo Holm, the Hæwene Brim and Munin.

The Engineering Department is responsible for providing innovative, cost effective Engineering services and solutions in all areas of Bluewater’s business, ensuring a responsible approach to client requirements; international rules and regulations and HSEQ obligations in order to contribute to the realization of the company’s goals and strategy.


As Senior Instrumentation Engineer you are responsible for engineering activities and delivering the engineering output on time according to the project, HSEQ&RC and corporate requirements. You report to the Lead (Project) Engineer on progress, setbacks and concerns when assigned to a project and implement the HSEQ&RC requirements and assists the Lead (Project) Engineer in related meetings.
You reply to queries from site, client, certifying authority and vendor do InterDiscipline checks on time. You are responsible for signalling technical risks and anomalies in projects to the Section Head Engineering. You assist the Project/Lead Engineer in obtaining client and third party approval on the project.
As a Senior Instrumentation Engineer you are expected to coach more junior engineers, check work of colleagues for quality improvement regularly and can be asked by the corporate technical authority to as a delegate technical authority.


We are looking for a creative, disciplined and analytically strong Engineer with good communication, organization and planning skills. Furthermore:
• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent such as Control Engineering.
• Over 8 years of relevant experience in instrumentation engineering.
• English good, verbally as well as in writing.
• Computer literacy for discipline calculations, document processing, spreadsheets and
database management.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and wiring software.
• Good and detailed knowhow and experience on control and safety systems
• Experience in Process Control and Safety related matters such as SIL assessments and verifications.


We offer a fulltime, challenging position within an international environment. A market conform gross yearly salary, including a 13th month, holiday allowance and a non-contributory pension plan and a collective medical insurance.
