(Senior) Process Engineer – Hoofddorp

Bluewater currently owns and operates a number of Floating Production Storage and Offloading Systems (FPSOs): the Glas Dowr, the Aoka Mizu, the Bleo Holm, the Hæwene Brim and Munin.
The department Operations Technical Management is responsible for the definition, development and implementation of the relevant Floating Production Division’s corporate technical operational strategies, standards, routines, programs and procedures in support of Bluewater’s overall FPSO fleet performance management. The department is responsible for the strategy and control of the overall corporate maintenance management system. Furthermore the department is also responsible for monitoring and auditing the adherence to, compliance with and is responsible for the governance over the abovementioned technical operational processes. The department direct the relevant operational technical authorities. All in accordance with the Floating Production Division’s management and organizational structure, to obtain maximum value of the asset and to contribute to the realization of the company’s goals and strategy.
FunctionThe (Senior) Process Engineer is responsible for the continuous improvement of the safe and efficient operation of the process facilities and must perform the duties of Process Technical Focal Point on the Bluewater FPSO fleet in the UK sector of the North Sea.
You will provide technical advice and support to the department and contribute to the review of performance standards for process related safety and environmental critical elements based on applicable regulations, client requirements, best industry practices and lessons learned.
Furthermore you will perform audits on operations activities, standard, procedures and manuals and you will provide assistance and advice as required to efficiently execute modifications and non-routine operations, including attendance at HAZOP’s/HAZID’s and safety reviews. In this position you will report regularly to the Section Head Floating Production Engineering on project/personal achievements and corporate/department matters. You will be working from our office in Hoofddorp.
RequirementsWe are looking for a forward thinking communicator with strong planning and organizational skills. You will offer pro-active assistance and initiate improvements. Furthermore you have:
• a Bachelor degree in an Engineering discipline
• 10-15 years of experience in a similar position in offshore and/or oil and gas industry environment
• UK Oil & Gas Medical Certificate: combined survival, fire-fighting, HUET, minimum industry safety training
• fluent in English, both written and verbal
• computer literacy for relevant process simulation programs, discipline calculations, document processing, spreadsheets and data management
• detailed knowledge of oil and gas engineering
