Contract Award for the delivery of one Turret type CALM buoy – SARB 3 – PETROFAC, UAE

Bluewater has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction contract for a Turret type Single Point Mooring (SPM) system by international service provider to the oil and gas production and processing industry, Petrofac.

The SPM will be located at the north of ZirkuIsland and is part of ADMA-OPCO’s Satah Al Razboot (SARB) project.

The SARB Project is a high priority and new field development off the northwest coast of Abu Dhabi. Drilling will be conducted from two artificial islands (SARB1 and SARB2) with the well fluid sent by subsea pipeline to a facility on ZirkuIsland for processing, storage and export.

Petrofac’s scope of work for the SARB3 phase is delivery of 200km subsea pipelines for well fluid, water injection, gas injection, flare and export, along with 3km of onshore pipeline and 55km of subsea power and communication cables.  Petrofac’s further offshore scope includes the provision of two riser platforms and four flare platforms with four interconnecting bridges and one single point mooring (SPM) buoy. Petrofac’s onshore scope of the contract includes the following: drilling utilities, foundations on SARB1 and SARB2, transport, install, hook up and assistance in the commissioning of the accommodation modules.
