HOLDING STATEMENT AOKA MIZU – 26 March 2020

Bluewater Energy Services B.V., on behalf of Bluewater Lancaster Production (UK) Ltd and its affiliates, can confirm that a suspected case of coronavirus was reported on the floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel Aoka Mizu, on Wednesday, March 25, 2020.

The individual involved was transported to the mainland for medical attention by a HM Coastguard helicopter.

The individual subsequently tested positive for Covid-19 and is receiving medical treatment in hospital. We are providing ongoing support to our colleague, and their family.

Our priority is the safety and wellbeing of our people. We are in ongoing dialogue with those colleagues remaining on board the Aoka Mizu, and contracting companies where relevant. No further personnel have exhibited Covid-19 symptoms.

We continue to work within guidelines provided by NHS Scotland, Health Protection Scotland and Oil and Gas UK related to the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak.

The Aoka Mizu is operated by Bluewater Lancaster Production (UK) Ltd on the Lancaster field, approximately 61 miles (98km) west of Foula, Shetland, on behalf of Hurricane. There are currently 73 people on board the FPSO.
